The first two days of the optional practices this week didn't leave much room for optimism. Passes hit the turf at an alarming rate, with McMullen, new tight end Visanthe Shiancoe and project receiver Todd Lowber all struggling to hold onto the ball.
    No mention of T-Will there.

In another article I posted Hymes & Hankton where dropping balls right & left.

No need to be alarmed until week 17 of the regular season.

Let's hope we have it together this year. We have plenty of talent, we just need to catch the ball.

There was nothing pretty about watching the Vikings play offense last season, and one of the few exciting parts about coming to the stadium every week was waiting to see just how these receivers were going drop a pass.
Williamson was suffocated by unfair comparisons to Moss.

"Not at all," Stewart said. "This is coach (Brad) Childress' second year. I'm here for the first year. Troy is talented. Make or break? By no stretch of the imagination. I'm not in position to make that call - that's up to the head coach and ownership - but Troy is doing a great job for us right now. He's working extremely hard, and hopefully he'll have a great season."

    Would you believe Jerry Rice?

He had a lot of drops early in his
career," Stewart said. "What Jerry realized, coming from a small university (Mississippi Valley State), was he was in the big leagues now. South Carolina's not a small university by any stretch, but Troy was the seventh pick of the draft coming out, and a lot is expected with that. ... We took a guy with the eighth pick, (cornerback) DeAngelo Hall, when I was in Atlanta, and he's been to two Pro Bowls. That's what those seventh and eighth picks are supposed to be, is impact players. Troy is working at trying to become that. Hopefully, he'll get to that level, but right now he's a work in progress."

Still, Stewart said he feels no need to add a proven veteran.

"I'm just trying to do the best I can with the guys I've got," he said. "We'll see where we are when we break training camp."

Shouldn't T-will's eyes be on the ball?

He doesn't need it. He has new Nike Super Eyes [TM]

So he sees the ball no matter where he looks.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.
