I'll be watching that match-up closely,
only thing I'm worried about is, Birk can't handle Big Pat one on one, so I'm expecting to see a guard help out Matt on most plays.
Thats the only way they will be able to handle the big boy in purple..

This game, and next weeks for that matter, I would like to see us really pound the rock.
I dont feel as though we have been "wearing" defenses out with the run this year...except for the Cleveland game.
This is a game where I think we give the ball to AD 25-30 times and Chetser Taylor 10 or so.
    Really just go after them.
Their corners arent great and their LBs are great tacklers but getting slower so I think we can attack the outside with some off-tackle runs.
I think if we commit to the run for 2-3 quarters
we will beat this Ravens team.
I think this is true for next week too since Troy Head n' shoulders will be back.

If we do go after them with the run then expect to see a lt more of Kleiny than Shank. It's going to be a close game I think and the first real test of where we are going as a team.

Looking forward to watching this one.

    Take what the D gives.
If the D's continue to play simple fill the gap rush D, forcing the play to stretch out, on anything that could be a running down, why continue to run into a wall 40 times?
What is important is NEVER GIVE UP ON THE RUN!

The way teams are filling the gaps, it only takes one missed tackle for AD to bust a 20+yder.

As long as the Vikes D can hold the Raven's O in check, a balanced D is the best option.

Rushing the ball also makes little sense when the Ravens are giving up 238yds, 6 TD's through the air.
Whereas they are giving up only 76yds and 3TDs on the ground.

    It's long ball time, Raven's passing D is ranked #2 with 19 receptions of 20+yds, 4 over 40+.

    thats quite the limb.

funny, watching the game last week, my dad asked how long Tahi has been around, I said probably a couple of years, but he's terrible and I hope not too much longer.
That play he whiffed a block and the old man agreed he is terrible

I agree that you take what the defense gives you but AD has had 2 weeks where he has only gotten the ball 15 times and 1 week at 19.
To me that is giving up on the run.
We have the best non-qb player in the NFL in AD and I dont understand why we dont run him.
I just feel like we have been giving up on the run because of Favre's good play.

Since AD has been the starter we are 9-3 when he gets more than 25 carries.
Im not a stat man by any means, but I do look at that and I see a good formula for winning is getting him the ball at least 25 times.

I would have to ask, what is the win to loss ratio when he don't get the ball for 25 carries or more?
I know this year it's 3-0 but since he's been on the team what is ratio?

Personally I feel like the team is doing whatever it needs to win games.
My guess is that the colder the weather gets the more we will see Adrian run.
