    Vikings - Ravens Thread

Good ol quotes from the Ravens forum
    ;D

    We're toast...

We're going into the bye on a three game losing streak. If we can't beat the hapless Bangles and they are hapless, we have no chance against the Vikings.
I just hope the refs don't protect the good old farvy against us

I just don't know anymore though, it'd be nice to win.
Am I the only one here who thinks the Vikings are overrated??? Yeah we looked TERRIBLE today but I don't see our team not being prepared coming into this game. I think Cam's going to come up with an awsome gameplan and we're going to sneak in a win.
I don't think they're overrated but I have faith Cam will come up with a good gameplan. The Vikings have one good corner but their secondary isn't very good. I have think Flacco should be able to air it out.
Regardless if we won or lost today I definately chalk this one up as a loss if not a massacre. I don't care if the parking lot attendant is QB they will run on us with ease and Flacco will be on his back alot and saying hello frequently to Jared Allen
I just can't see us going at Minnesota and stoping AP, and Favre the same day.

You thought the Bengals had a good pass rush? JA scares the hell out of me, and I can see him and his gang causing havoc all day.
What makes Peterson such a brutal player isn't his ability to hit a hole and take it to the secondary -- it's his ability to change direction on a dime at full speed. I don't know how he doesn't break both his ankles on some plays -- he's ridiculous.

All of AP's yards will come from outside runs- he won't get anything up the gut.
I see us knocking them on their asses. Their defense DOES NOT match up very well against our offense, and that is going to show.

I hope this turns into a shootout. Favre will be good for at least two picks and one lame-****** interview afterwards.

You guys need to remember who the Ravens are. This team is going places, whether you're onboard or not.

What worries me most about the Ravens isn't their defense or their offense - we're on the same tier in terms of talent (a bit higher, in fact, on paper at least).

    Rather, it is the intangibles.
We aren't facing off against a cocky and overconfident squad.
    Nope.
    These guys are PISSED.
They're looking for vindication and revenge and will be coming out of the tunnel like bats out of hell.
You know they believe in their hearts that they're better than 3-2.
I would rather they have won against the Bengals, to tell you the truth.
They'd have a bit less fire in them.

We need to match their intensity and drain the life out of them as the game goes on.
In order to win, we must crush their spirits.
The way to do that is by moving the ball on offense (I would prefer that we do this through long, sustained drives, as they are more demoralizing and energy-sapping, but quick scores work, too) and by finding a way to create negative plays on defense.
Stuff the run and keep Flacco on his butt.

What we need to beat the Ravens is not strategy - it's sheer intestinal fortitude.
Favre has the guts of about eight ordinary offensive players.
Allen has balls the size of grapefruits.
But we'll need that kind of intensity from our entire team.
    Feed off the home crowd.
    No emotional letdowns.

I think we get this win easily because it is at home. With the state of our trenches, I feel it's going to be a large advantage over them. That will lead to an advantage in penalty yards and turnovers, that will end up being the key in a 10 point win.
