Vikings: Rapid Fire With Rufus Alexander
RAPID FIRE WITH RUFUS ALEXANDER
MAY 29, 2007
Author: Mike Wobschall, vikings.com
Even though he was the 2006 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, Vikings rookie linebacker Rufus Alexander will be on a mission in 2007 to prove wrong all of those who passed on him in April's draft.

I had actually been hoping we would get him on day two and when we did I was stunned to say the least.
Rufus wasn't really on my radar, but the more I read the more I like that pick especially in the 6th round.

I'll second that davike, I think we had a very good draft this offseason. I'm excited to see what all these young talented rookies can contribute to the team this season. Even more so, hopefully we will get to see what our 1st pick from last year (Greenway) brings to the field.I thinks we got a steal!!!!
I love this draft!!
I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.

Re: Vikings: Rapid Fire With Rufus Alexander
Is it possible that we have a team that can evaluate talent and knows when to pick them?
That would be so awesome if that were the case.
Maybe we will even start to see more of this KAO we have heard about.
Really though, I do like the drafts we have had so far.

Unless of course you are of the ilk that believe that TJ and Cook were reaches were they were taken, the staff did a good job last year also.
:
17 1 17 Chad Greenway LB Iowa
48 2 16 Cedric Griffin CB Texas
51 2 19 Ryan Cook C New Mexico
64 2 32 Tarvaris Jackson QB Alabama St.
127 4 30 Ray Edwards DE Purdue
149 5 17 Greg Blue ROV Georgia
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Drafts, being plural, indicates he has liked the two drafts the new staff has had this far, which would include last year wouldnt it?"NDVikingFan66" wrote:

Re: Vikings: Rapid Fire With Rufus Alexander
I'm anxious to see this guy play as well.
I like to see guys who play all out without fear (aka Winfield) regardless of less than ideal physical attributes.
Shows the mental vs. physical part of the game and what desire can do for you.

Somewhat of a contridiction.
Should have explain my point better as not to confuse as well.
