The Vikings’ QB situation is a mess

The Vikings have by far the worst QB situation in the NFL right now.
The starter will probably be second year man Tavaris Jackson out of tiny Alabama State.
The Vikings are wrong in throwing this kid to the wolves before he’s ready and the results could wind up pretty darn awful.....

Re: The Vikings’ QB situation is a mess
Lots of love from a Viking blogger.
;D What the heck does he know? :
But then, what the heck, how do any of us know.
I think I'll write a blog on how GREAT Doss is going to be.Kentucky Vikes Fan

I hope he can prove them wrong.

Re: The Vikings’ QB situation is a mess
At this point he is just regurgitating what everyone else has already said.
No new stuff here.
I agree that there is a risk in starting TJ this year.
He isn't ready to be a starter, that much is known.
But he will either rise to the challenge (which You, Me, Coach Childress, and Wilf are praying for) or he will falter and be benched, which can be a hard pill to swallow as a young QB.
I concede that Coach Childress knows more about football than I do as a fan, so I will put my faith in him and whoever he decides will start come September 9th.Zeus wrote:

Re: The Vikings’ QB situation is a mess
Worst huh?
How bout KC?
They lost Shields, Roaf, Green and Richardson in about a year.
Are the Raiders really better off at this point?
With two QBs with no experience in their system to go with a coach with the same amount...
Texans have the same issue, and no backup worth speaking of...
The Browns don't know who to start, and will probably end up giving all three a shot.
And then there is Vick in ATL, who just might go to jail leaving the reins in Joey's hands...and either way, its a new offense.
At least TJack got his two starts and played in four games, has had the playbook for over a year now, and has been working hard on it.
In addition, we have an OLINE that should play better this year as well!!
I know my purple goggles are on, but I expect us to surprise some fools this season ;DControl the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

It COULD be the worse, even though I don't really believe it is...However it is certainly not by far the worst!

for the raiders, josh mccown has more experience alone than all our qb's,
and jamarcus russel is better than anyone we've got right now.
sure texans may not have a backup, but at least they've got a starter...
browns may not know who to start, but at least they've got 3 who will do an alright job if given the nod.
Vick is Vick, anyway you look at it, he's better than anyone we've got
all your arguments in no way show that any of these teams have a worse qb situation than the vikings

WTF? Croyle has thrown a total of seven NFL passes, only three of which were completions.
How on earth does that translate into having any experience worth a shit.
Even TJ has more NFL expierence than him.
As far as the Raiders, you have no idea if Jamarcus Russel is better than anybody we've got right now.
Just because he was picked #1 doesn't guarantee he will be great, or even good for that matter.
The Texans and Browns are in better QB shape than us, and Atlanta is for now, although is Vick is suspended they will be worse off than us.Zeus wrote:
