Just in case anyone was wondering... ;D

Actually, I am half serious.
Yes, we are playing like shit.
Yes, the offense looks like death warmed over.
But there is one simple fact that remains...

We are tied for #1 in the NFC North.

Now I realize that speaks volumes about the pathetic state of the NFCN, but it doesn't dilute the fact that we still stand a pretty good chance of winning this division - even with a 9-7 record.
If we secure a win against Chicago on Monday, then we will enter the BYE with momentum on our side and a 2-1 record against division opponents.
As ugly as the season has been, that is still a good place to be sitting.

Jared Allen said it the best yesterday when he told the reporters that there is still a lot of season left...
Don't give up the faith just yet.
Until we are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, I am still pulling for a purple postseason.
And once we hit the postseason... all bets are off.
It is a whole new season then.

Let's go with the optimism.
Its better than being a nagging whiner over the same point week in and week out.

There is this whole big thing called a football team on a win streak, no matter how godawful ugly it was.

Let's see how it plays out.

I am more curious now than anything.
This season has some weird shit written all over it.

It would be sweet to have a home playoff game in the dome, it would drasticly increase the chances of moving foward.

NE only scoring 89 points through 5 games, Dallas beaten by Arizona and now losing Romo for a month, Atlanta and Arizona both have winning records...

Anything can happen this season.
I absolutely believe that the Vikings have a legitimate shot at the NFC North title.

I sure wished the eagles would have made that goaline stand into a TD vs the Bears, Oh well we'll have to come up with a win next week. Lets just hope we play better that the last two games.
