Are the Vikings a playoff team?
Czarnekkid says, "Yes"

"10. Are the Vikings a playoff team?
Yes. Adrian Peterson is one of the game's most exciting players and Jared Allen makes their defensive line the best in the NFL. Tarvaris Jackson made strides at the end of last season, and if he can continue to improve, Minnesota should be favored in the NFC North."

Re: Are the Vikings a playoff team?
I will say it right now, don't care if it jinxes us or what with all that nonsense. NFC North champs and first round bye. Lock.

Re: Are the Vikings a playoff team?
I perfer to look at the past and present... playoffs seem to be a better possibility then last year, given the maturing skill players and the off season moves.
But nothing is a lock in the NFL... "Any Given Sunday"
Just look at how many teams have gone from Super Bowl greatness one year to the toilet bowl the next. i.e. most recently our division Bears
That said I think the Vikes control their future in the NFCN and possibly the whole NFC.
They have what it takes to win, but will they use it to win?

Re: Are the Vikings a playoff team?
I think the schedule we have this year contests first round byes etc, however I beleive that the NFCN is ours for the taking.
Even my friend who is a skins fan said he was happy they didn't have to face us this year. ;D
It looks good for 2008 and I for one am very excited about how we play especially through the first 6 games

Re: Are the Vikings a playoff team?
Well we still need to work out the McKinnie thing.
And, hope for a healthy season!!!
A couple of injuries to one position, and we're screwed just like anybody else...But, at this point, with the moves we made and our young guys starting to mature some, I will be surprised and disappointed if we don't at least earn a wildcard spot.Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Re: Are the Vikings a playoff team?
based on our FA's, off-season moves, and the depth additions in the draft..
we are looking at a large number of starters returning, better backup services from those with 1 year experience in the club now, and a maturing Coaching staff that hopefully has taken a good look at themselves and moved a step or two foward.
Now.. to be a really competitve team takes a few things.
1. Desire.. this i would hope we have in abundance!!!
2. Talent
This again is something we now possess in many positions
3. Teamwork
as much as i would luv to say we have no ME ME's on the team.. i can say we have more of a team first attitude then we've had in a long time.
4. correct situations.
This is all the outside influences needed for that dream to come true.
ie.. fans need this, management needs this, the state needs this, and the future of the MN vikings needs this.
5. a working formula executed correctly.
Now that Tjack is burying himself to be better, and the additions to our O targets to compelement the nfl's best rb tandem I see this rising!! Our D has gotten it's pieces put together. I see a great move foward in both the O and D scheme's.
so if you put those 5 things that I believe make a contender.. then yes.. WE ARE and !#$%!#$ should be on top of the Div, and deep if not finishing out the playoffs!!
