MANKATO — Just as they did last season, the Vikings plan to wear “throwback” jerseys in one game this year. In 2007, the Vikings wore the jerseys in a September game against Green Bay at the Metrodome...

Thank god ours are not as ugly as the steelers or eagles. Ok, i'll have to admit they were so ugly it made them beautiful.

I think it's a good thing, shows respect to the players that played then.

Oddly enough, I was pumped for the throwbacks against Green Bay last year.
But when I saw them on the field, I remember thinking, "Wow.
Those are plain."
The new unis really are sharp when you put them side by side with the old...

maybe they can wear them for the SNF game against Chicago.. my wife will be well impressed in her AD throwback jersey she has now. She picked that up last year and, without any prompting, reckoned it looked the best on display

I wonder if they've ever thought of wearing those yellow or black alternate jerseys they were selling a few years back?
Not a fan of the yellow, but the black could have looked alright
Lots of teams have black alternate jerseys, (lions, eagles, falcons, Saints, Bengals, etc.)

I think Mr. Anderson (if I remember correctly) and I are the only two people in the world who liked those Eagles jerseys. I just thought they were a cool change of pace.

I love the Vikings throwbacks though... the striped sleeves and the gray face masks are slick.

lol, i actually bought a westbrook yellow and blue jersey for $25.
Just to wear and have people go wtf?

Yeah, I don't remember where I read that, but I know for sure I read that they would be jumping in their throwbacks again this year.
I've also noticed the helmets they've been wearing during camp are the throwbacks..
I'm not gonna lie, I love the darker purple helmets with the gray masks.

No no, I liked the throwback Iggles jerseys too.
Those jerseys helped 'em out too..

They were just alternate colors that Reebok/Puma (can't remember which company did them) marketed.
They weren't official.
Thank God.
I hated them things.

I don't think we ever wore the black and yellow ones did we? I have a black Brad Johnson one.
