love this kid, has great hands, but will be nothing more than an end zone threat this year, his route running is atrocious, had that part of his game been more polished he would've been taken off the board right after CJ when it comes to Wideouts...

Actually some of the catches Rice has had this year remind me of him when he was younger and Rice just turned 20. He has alot of time to grow. I look for him to be the #1 WR by years end.

I am confident that we'd beat Atlanta w/out scoring on offense, not saying we won't but I can't see them putting up more than 6 points on our D, look for the D to come out fiery as hell, and I have a feeling we're gonna shoot EJ through the giagantic gaps that the Williams wall opens up (remember how he was in the backfield all game long @ Seattle a couple weeks ago? --> think that was a preview of what is to come)

Beautiful point. This guy has a lot of potential. When T-Will came aboard i was not excited but I am excited about Rice. Route running can be learned and he has time. Natural ability cannot. This kid has got it, I do not think T-Will really has it.

I just want to see him, along with the rest of our guys do well.
We've got a damn good Defense, but I really hope that the O can, and believe it will, sneak up on people!!!!

While Williamson had 91 catches for 1,753 yards and 13 TDs in three years playing for run-oriented Lou Holtz, Rice benefited from Steve Spurrier's hiring. He caught 142 passes for 2,233 yards and 23 touchdowns in just two seasons of the ``Fun-n-Gun.'
Since he has arrived in Minnesota, everything seems to be coming much more natural for Rice.
``It's just exciting to see him come in and pick up the offense so fast and make very few mistakes,' Jackson said. ``For this offense to work it can be complicated. But he's picked up pretty fast and done a great job.'
His best game of the summer came on Thursday against the Cowboys, when he showed the kind of body control and field awareness uncommon among rookies.

Spurrier helped him by implementing that offense at the college level.
That is a good thing to remember for NFL teams looking for WRs. 142 receptions in 2 years, that is pretty damn good when they play less games than the pros.

Painfully shy in public, Rice has shown plenty of maturity at a young age. He didn't even keep the ball from his first touchdown.
``No need,' Rice said. ``I'll wait for the real thing.'
That performance, along with the rest of training camp, has given Childress the confidence to let him play right away, starting with the opener on Sunday against Atlanta.

I hope so Rice, I am looking forward to it, more TDs.

Then we got us a STEAL!!!

We should have high hopes for Rice, he has good speed, height, excellent body control, and will be the second coming of Cris Carter with a little seasoning. Remember he just turned 21. He will be entrenched as our 3rd reciever, and a weapon in the red zone.
