Re: Vikings & Packers injury reports

    More Packer news.
Looks like Hawk is still hurting.
Clifton, Jones, and Wells are still out.
Woodson is out for the first time.

    http://www.packershome.com/index.php?name=ForumsPro&file=viewtopic&t=1489
Linebacker A.J. Hawk participated in individual drills during the portion of practice open to the media this morning inside The Don Hutson Center.

Hawk was wearing shoulder pads and his helmet for the first time since he strained a muscle in his chest in the exhibition opener on Aug. 11, but his participation appeared to be limited. As usual, the media was not allowed to watch team drills.

Meanwhile, cornerback Charles Woodson, who was not on Wednesday's injury report, did not practice. Woodson missed time late in training camp with a knee bruise, but he had practiced on Monday and Tuesday.

Also out were: left tackle Chad Clifton (knees/chest), center Scott Wells (back) and receiver James Jones (knee).

Returning to practice were: running back Ryan Grant (hamstring), end Jeremy Thompson (groin), linebacker Tracy White (ankle), end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (knee) and safety Charlie Peprah (hamstring).

    * In a conference call with Wisconsin reporters, Vikings coach Brad Childress declined to discuss the health of quarterback Tarvaris Jackson. Childress had joked earlier in the week Jackson, who has a knee injury, looked like he had a wooden leg. "He looks like he's got a prosthetic now," Childress said.

Seems as though our list should be longer than that.
Where is Bernard and his toe injury?

I think Berrian and Rice being out was more of a preventitive measure.
had it been a real game, thye likely would have been playing

If Clifton is out, Allen will have a field day.
    Can't wait for that one.

As I told the silly PUKER fan in the other thread.
Injury list isn't a good one for the PUKERS.
Looks like we might be catching them at an opportune time.

With all those injuries, even if some do play, a ball control style offense will keep that D on the field along time which will come back to bite them in the latter parts of the game.

The loss of thier starting C along with a QB that hasn't seen much game time will also lend to alot of 3 and outs which will also contribute to that D being on the field alot.

Field position and TOP will both be slanted heavily to the Purple side of the field my friends.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Hawk returns to practice for Packers, while Grant sits

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers running back Ryan Grant and defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila missed practice Friday as a precaution before Monday night's opener with Minnesota.

Grant has been dealing with an ailing hamstring, while Gbaja-Biamila has been recovering from right knee surgery. Both players fully participated in practice on Thursday.

From an "open" article in "Scout" it looks like the Packers may only be out one player...G Josh Sitton.
