    The Vikings had approximately 2,000 tickets remaining Monday for their upcoming game against Philadelphia at the Metrodome, but team officials were optimistic that a blackout would be avoided.

    The team needed a 26-hour extension from the NFL to avoid a blackout for its Sept. 9 home opener against Atlanta, but in that case there were about 3,500 tickets available on the Tuesday before the game.
