Vikings: With offensive linemen, there always has to be a Plan B in place

While left tackle Bryant McKinnie was out because of an injury, the Vikings' other blockers needed to shift to cover unfamiliar positions.

I said it before during FA & before the draft, our depth on the line needed to be addressed. McKinnie was the only LT on the team back then.

Sure we have people who jump from RG to LT but how well does that work? People here keep talking about how the new offensive scheme takes a year to learn & the OL to gel, but how long is it going to take some of these dual & triple role players to learn 3 different position schemes?

Our depth on the O-line is a scary thing. Hicks is not the answer at LT, that leaves us with Adam O'Conner, Josh Day, and Chase Johnson, all rookies and undrafted free agents, then there is Marcus Johnson, not exactily comforting.

Maybe we can work a trade for a veteran as we are loaded in some positions, and may be able to swing a deal somewhere.
