Loving it!
Thanks for posting Marty
Wonder if this means the KAO really works?
Haven't seen it slammed to much this year.
:
I have a hunch this is going to turn into a Jackson thread lol
I for one think our current starter is gonna be our starter next year.
The Vikes could draft a cat this year that eventually turns into the starter.
How can he not come back?
Seriously!

For a while, but he'll be back by the time the season starts.
He won't even need pre-season next year

I think we had a nice discussion going on with these points in another thread.
I wonder how it differs after a few weeks of change.
I will have to go back and find that discussion.OFFENSE OF PROMISE
Category Avg./total Vikings' NFL rank
Scoring 30.1 ppg second
Total offense 369.1 ypg seventh
Passing offense 246.7 ypg 12th
Rushing offense 122.4 ypg 10th

Agreed.. Im all for Favre for one more year
And drafting a cat and letting Jackson/ Sage take the reigns
And grooming that cat if Sage/Jackson don't cut it
Draft a cat this year.
Let him watch from the bench one year.
Start him the next.
TJ/Sage stay your backup if you can keep
em.
I think I want to properly groom this new cat if we draft one
I believe atleast 2 years (one with Brett and one with Sage/Jackson) and let him go then would be the ideal situation
I think Jackson is atleast an adequte option for a year or 2, possibly more.. We shall see!
But I agree my man

I've been doing some draft prep.
Part of that has been the study of the spread offense that seems to be prevalent in the game at the level.
I don't think the turnaround time will be that great (bout 1 year or less) if they get the right kid.
Think of it this way, even though alot don't think TJ is a viable option, he seems to be one of the best out of that class so far.
Is it because he has talent or is it because this staff squeezed it out of him?
At first I trended to "His Talent".
Of late, I'm trending to Coach Rodgers as a good "Squeezer".
I would really like to see him squeeze a cat rated in the top 5 instead of someone out of the top 15.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

The top two QBs will be gone they are Locker from Washington & Clausen From ND.
The next tier is McCoy, Bradford, Tebow & Kenum.
So depending on where we land in the first round we are probably looking at McCoy, Kenum or even Pike.
I really hope Bradford falls but even then we would have to trade up to get him.
There s only two things stopping you - fear and common sense!! The Truth you CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!

A few I have done some research on.Not to get too far off topic, but who are the college QB's you're looking at?
Jevan Snead 6-4 217
Tony Pike 6-6 214
Dan LeFevour 6-3 228
What I think we will be looking for is a big kid.
Mostly cause of the size of our OL.
Next thing will be a kid with a strong arm with a quick release.
At first I was just narrowing it down to kids who have played under center more than in the spread, but I think I would be discounting some of the better prospects. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

......but I hope they go for the smart kid with good accuracy versus someone with arm strength.
I think too many college QBs get away with horrible accuracy because the pro ready wideouts get so wide open for them. The true measure of a man is what he'd do knowing he'd never be found out.

Take a look at those kids. Accuracy doesn't seem to be to big of a issue.
Atleast from what I've found.
Interesting. The next tier is McCoy, Bradford, Tebow & Kenum.
A name that hasn't surfaced for me yet.
Here is the list I've been using to do research from/find names.

I really like all four of those guys. After the first tier (Clasuen, Locker, McCoy, Bradford and Tebow) there is still going to be some solid talent."tastywaves" wrote:

I think Snead has been pretty dreadful this season though and it should hurt his stock ... he could be a very nice pick. I also REALLY like Tony Pike.
