Now lets be fair here... you ask your offense to capitalize on the posessions you are mentioning where you start in the other teams territory. Some of those interceptions (about half) gave the Vikings the ball on their own 20 or worse... it is not reasonable to ask them to score a td on every drive they start from there. In the Giants game Sharper returned a pick for a TD and they missed a FG on one pick.. again around a 50% clip of the opportunity for points. Also not factored in is that in the Cleveland game there were also 2 fumbles that the offense cashed in on. That would make 19 turnovers and 9 scores, with two ending in knees. Therefore 9 scores out of 17 opportunities to score... not quite so bad when you consider that many where they did not cash in started from their own side of their 20. Just further proof that stats can be misleading.
These are very week teams you were playing against, if you are a playoff team you do make those drives into points (and quite a bit were in a shorter field than you think).

weak teams in the nfl are just about 7 points worse than the good teams. just about everybody is equal. look at the packers have a 3-10 record but have outscored thier opponets this year. that means they are competitive but havent been able to get a win.

brad johnson is defnitely not the savior of the team, its the defense and special teams. The offense is stuttering on alot of drives and if brad had the defense that culpepper had, we would be 1-5 or 0-6 in the past 6 weeks. Brad can't win a shootout and Daunte Can

I'm sorry, but a 52-3 win against the saints has a lot to do with them outscoring their opponents.

you only scored 20 points on the packers and one was a defensive touchdown so dont say that bad teams should lose by a lot of points.

Thanks for the honest reply...this game asside, you have to think that those turnovers are not going to continue and when you face the better teams you will have to be able to convert more on offense.

Do any of you steelers guy know how bad Ben's thumb is? I heard that their is a chip of bone that got takin off. Also I heard that he can't throw the ball farther than 40 yards. So what exactly is wrong with his thumb?

Where in the world do you see me saying bad teams should lose by a lot of points??? First of all, Green Bay has scored and given up exactly 255 points this year so they haven't outscored their opponents. I was saying that the blowout win of 52pts (scoring far more than their average) makes their points for totals appear to be better than they reall are.

He has ligament damage and a chip off of the bone. It will more than likely require surgery after the season ends.

Re: Vikings offense in the last 6 games

Ok I'll give all the info you could ask for
    Lions Game
    MIN 30: 2 seconds left
Giants Game failed to score on picks starting at
NYG 17: Edinger misses kick.. not really the O's fault
MIN 45: This is a place they have to cash in.. ONE missed opportunity
MIN 29: 4 minutes to go.. you aren't trying to score just run clock
    GB game
MIN 31: This is the drive where the phantom holding call got a 3rd and 2 run that put the ball down to the GB 20 got called back.. the offense did the job
    Cleveland game
MIN 32: Not bad field position but you aren't going to score every time from here
    MIN 2: Any questions?
    Lions Take 2
    MIN 2 52 seconds left
    Rams Game
MIN 37: Again probably a place you should be cashing in.. call it 2 missed opportunities
MIN 20: 9 Minutes left 14 point lead.. they are running clock not looking for a quick score.. plus this is not automatic
    MIN 20: 20 seconds left

so there ya go.. they failed on 2 drives that started closer than their own 32... wow thats horrible! Can't argue with the facts.
