Tarvaris Jackson wasn't complaining about it. But consider the fact that the Vikings quarterback threw only 4 passes against the Jets in the Vikings 2nd pre-season game, and he obviously wants more air time.....

Peterson also showed his power at the end of 43-yard 2nd quarter jaunt, by finishing off a Jets defender and lowering his shoulder. It was a violent collision.

"I wasn't necessarily trying to send a message, but that's just how I run the ball. I got the mentality that I want to deliver a blow, rather than take a blow. If I'm on the sideline and I've got two yards to the first down, I'm going to lower my shoulder. There are some battles that you know you won't win. It's just being smart with protecting your body."
    I like his attitude.
I bet there are some veterans reading this thinking they can't wait to put a hurting on him.
Rookies need to watch their tongue.

It's almost an echo of what Childress said in his press conf.

While I heard many expert say that he should think about getting out of bounce on that play, Chilly said "That's how I expect him to play when he plays for me." "Lower your shoulder or risk getting hit in the knee by that 1-100 that delivers a late blow."

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

T-Jack will have some good work Saturday when he plays the whole first half, and a series in the second half. I want to see touchdowns, and game management, good execution, no pre-snap penalties, and a good drive resulting in points, to start out the second half.

How many pp.oers are going to cream in their pants if there is an 80 yd TD pass from Tarvaris to TWill?
Or will they just be in shock?

Sounds to me like a poll is needed for that question Prophet.

I won't cream my jeans, but I might need oxygen, to stop hyper ventalating. It would be great to score a long ball to Troy. Going into the season Troy needs all the confidence he can get.
