Vikings new WR coach will be vocal with his praise or critiques

Sid Hartman: Vikings new WR coach will be vocal with his praise or critiques

George Stewart is glad to be back in Minnesota, after being part of Lou Holtz's Gophers staff, and doesn't think his receivers will be a team weakness.

Good, maybe we will be better at the WR position this year.. We all know that we can't get much worse.. That is what they need, someone to light a fire under their a$$, and have them ready at all times..

"I'll tell you, we've got a good group here," Stewart. "We've got about 12 wide receivers in camp, and they're all doing a good job. And hopefully, if I don't screw them up coaching them, they have a chance to be OK."
I allready like this guy. I have irrational blames to cast on our WR coach from last year, and I'm excited about George.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

I'm not very inspired when he says they have a chance to be OK.
I fire people for being more than that.
OK?
What does that mean.

Comeon man.......
Even Chris Carter's numbers would drop siginificantly with that excuse for a QB running...I mean throwing to him.

Our WR coach appears to Coach.
Alot of snippets in all the articles lately have evidence of this.
Will these guys be Jerry Rice/Chris Carter guys this year????
Probably not, Will they be an improvement over next year....
Yes.
Of course they can't get much worse
;D

The reason is the Vikings have a new receivers coach in George Stewart. From watching Stewart operate under Lou Holtz at Minnesota and Notre Dame, I know Brad Childress has found a coach who will do a great job.

If the receivers have the ability, rest assured Stewart will bring out the best in them.
A little nugget here for all you "Gotta have a Proven" "Big Name" WR to "teach our young guys" crowd.

Bobby's professional. He's an outstanding pro, and he does a great job with our young players in terms of trying to provide professional leadership."
Appears Bobby will be the "Coach" on the field this year.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg
