VIKINGS NAME ASSISTANT DB's COACH
For a second I thought the Vikes went off the reservation and signed a WR as a DB coach.
This was at the bottom of the article.
VIKINGS SIGN FREE AGENT DT GREEN
The Minnesota Vikings signed free agent DT Howard Green. A 3rd-year NFL player, Green has spent time with Baltimore (2002) and New Orleans (2003-04). Green entered the NFL as a 6th-round draft pick (#190 overall) by Houston in 2002. In 2004 he started 12 of the 14 games he played for the Saints and notched a career-best 53 tackles. As a collegiate player at LSU he was coached by Vikings defensive line coach Karl Dunbar.

Vikings hire 23rd assistant coach
http://www.startribune.com/510/story/1170202.html
The Vikings hired Derek Mason as assistant defensive backs coach Tuesday, raising their total of assistant coaches to 23.
Mason most recently served as the receivers coach at Ohio University. He played defensive back for Northern Arizona when Vikings coach Brad Childress was an assistant there in 1989.
Mason will assist defensive backs coach Joe Woods.
That's more than one coach for every two active players on the roster! Amazing

I wonder if it has something to do with their intention to move the team to LA.

The whole moving to
