Vikings may try for Maroney in 2006 draft - Pioneer Press
Pioneer Press Vikes 2006 Draft
Well, the article says the Vikes are expected to be around #12 in the draft. I would hope that the Vikings would get, oh say, the 32 pick in the first round, and rings for everybody. Anyway, interesting article.

Yeah, I would be a huge fan of drafting 32nd overall and watching our boys get some championship rings.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

We will draft lower than 12. I could see us trade up for Maroney or Bush. I am glad we got our receiver this year, because there are none next year.

Another great sig by PPE!
SKOL VIKINGS!!!

Raiders #2

I think we should take the best O-lineman avaialble. We need depth there. I was blasted for suggesting we needed to look at our O-line depth abput a month ago. I see the jod that are doing and I am really not impressed.
We can get a RB out of free agency.

What about Ontario Smith? Don't the Vikes have him next year...or has he dissapeared into the wild with Lenny Kravitz, like another RB did last year?

If they bring him back! Or if he does not fail another test, or refuses to take a test. If he does, he is gone for good with a life time ban.
To early to worry about drafting next year. It depends to much on who is the coach, GM and where we draft and where Maroney is taken. And what if MeMo or Fason blows up, and we are not looking for a running back in the draft.
We need to worry about Atlanta, we need to win this game and go to 2 - 2 going into the bye. What we've got here is failure to communicate.

I would love to have a great back like Maroney, but I think it is unlikey that we draft a RB in the first round (I have no doubt that he'll go in the first round, barring injury of course). We have more pressing needs IMO than a RB. What am I talking about, the draft isn't for another I don't know how many months!! Let's beat Atlanta, good idea packer whacker!! lol

If we get the rings, I don't even care about draft picks. I will trade all draft picks for the next 5 years if we get the ring!
