Vikings looking forward

Chad Greenway has put last season's knee injury behind him and is excited to be on the practice field as the Vikings' No. 1 weak-side linebacker.

Knee? What knee?
In his first full-pads practice since tearing his left anterior cruciate ligament in last year's exhibition opener against Oakland, Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway said he didn't take even one notable shot Friday to his surgically repaired limb. At least not one he could remember.

He's gonna be big in our pass defense. Comeback player of the year is gonna be between him and T-Will.

I have a problem with the term comback player of the year.
TWill has never been there and Greenway has never played.
What would they be coming back from?
Doesn't that imply that they were once good?

I really think Greenway will come out of the box strong, have my doubts with TWill.
