Wouldn't it just be easier to trade for Donnie Edwards? :evil4:

I was thinking of an equation.

Favre is to Madden as Millen is to Buck as Cajun is to Edwards. I did the proof and it checks out.

....gives a whole new definition to plugging the hole in the middle.

i've always liked dontarious, and i sure hope he can become the face of our defense this year. EJ looked lost before, and the odds of that changing arent very good especially with this brand new system, and asking him to be the leader of our defense. GO DT!!!

I just think its pretty cool that we are actually looking at a SINGLE spot as a defensive weakness...or at least a defensive unknown! Over the past 10 years, we would be thinking....if only we could plug these 7 or 8 holes!

This may not be the "PPEaters" yet, but I can see the defence that is being put together now....as the strength of the team for the future.

It was fun watching the Vikes offense for the past 10 years....but I, for one, am ready to see our defense actually make a stop when it counts!
I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

If middle LB is the ONLY weak spot we have on defense, I'll be happy.

EJ, should be starter, time for him to step up and handle the role, he did it in college he can be a leader here.

Wouldn't most say that Middle linebacker is the heart of the Defense though? In both physical and emotional (leadership) roles?

Very true. I guess I was trying to point out that even though it won't be the strongest position, it's not like we've got no one there. Practically all of the people spoken of for the position were there last year and I didn't see us as really weak -- as in no one playing there. Our defense last year, at the end of the season, looked pretty darn good and we've upgraded. And I believe we have a lot better coaches.
