I hope Marty will be by later to tell us all once again how thin we are on the D-line.Vikings linemen keep up pursuit

The Vikings are widely recognized as having one of the top defensive lines in the NFL. Their second unit isn't too shabby either.
St. Louis Rams rookie quarterback Sam Bradford probably will attest to that.
With the starters getting minimal work, the Vikings backup defensive line had a solid showing in Saturday's 28-7 victory in the preseason opener.
Bradford, the No. 1 overall pick, received a loud ovation when he entered the game in relief of starter A.J. Feeley. The Vikings then proceeded to pummel and harass the Rams' $50 million rookie.
=Z=
Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Re: Vikings linemen keep up pursuit
He was getting pummeled by our second string too, right? Didn't Evans come in untouched and eat some QB lunch?
Maybe the Rams line does suck, but look, we are pretty freekin good. Even Marty wants to sniff Allen's jockstrap!
Our whole D is on the hook to keep us alive if we don't get some QB resolution. So better start cheering for the boys.

Re: Vikings linemen keep up pursuit
The rams are gawd awful and will struggle to even be competitive in games this year. But we still got after them big time. Look at time of possession. That is a slaughtering against any team.
We're bringing purple back.

What a great thread!
I loved how Mayock commented on the quality of our depth. Even going so far as to saying that the second strings could start in the NFL on some teams. Then even Spielman jumped in and commented how stacked we are.
LOL
Where is Marrdro, where is Marddro? Here I am, here I am. We don't need no DTs, we don't need no DTs. Told you so, told you so.

The 2nd string D-Line did play pretty freaking well.. they put up a list of our current line and it's gonna be a hard job for the them to cut people, wouldnt have thought too many/if any of the cut lineman will last to make the practice squad.

I think we can keep waves of fresh bodies rushing the passers and keeping up with the receivers. It also gives us flexibility to go with whoever is working best on a giving Sunday.

Re:Vikings linemen keep up pursuit
Safety is still our weakest point.
Starters across the board are exceptional players.
Allen, Edwards, Greenway, Griffin, Henderson, Leber, K. Williams, P. Williams, and Winfield are all pro-bowl talents IMO. Which is why we will be able to plug guys in and keep legs fresh.
But at safety, Johnson, Madieu Williams, and Sandford have shown nothing but mediocrity.

Re:Vikings linemen keep up pursuit
It's a long season, and the quality depth we have will pay off keeping starters fresh, and stepping in for injuries. Hopefully our safeties play better this year, and the CB debth will afford Cedric time to heal.
