Vikings @ Lambeau: Who's going and Tailgate Info

Well I am happy to say that I am going to see my first game at Lambeau on Sunday. I have been there once during the summer to see the stadium, but I know nothing about the logistics of a game day there.

First of all who all from here will be going to the game?

Secondly anyone know what the deal is with tailgating? Anyone going that has some plans for tailgating? I think we would love to join up with anyone who has some definite plans. I am flying in from SC so I obviously I wont be bringing much along the lines of tailgating equipment. But we certainly can get whatever groceries we need to, or kick into the kitty to help pay.

I know VikingIvan and Draupnir are going, but they don't really post here that much any more. Best way to hook up them would be via FB.

There's a post from a guy that said he is driving a bus to lambeau, and looking for riders. You could contact him, and see where they are parking. They're going to be there 2 days, and don't have any tickets. They are just going for the tailgating.

We are leaving at 8 am Sunday morning. We hope to be tailgating by 1 pm. Draupnir, Ibeenpukin, Ibeenpukintoo, and Vikingivan. Let's hook up at Lambeau!

JmC and I went down for the Monday Night Football season opener a couple years ago. Tailgating happened everywhere. We just drove into a stadium parking lot when we got there around noon, paid our $20 or whatever it was and tailgated until gametime. We were in the lot in the vicinity of Kmart and a fast foot restaurant...can't remember the name. It was pretty simple setup actually. Had a great time until the game was over.

The forecast is calling for rain all day. I don't really trust the weatherman, but it is best to be prepared. Bring some rain gear. Skol Vikings!

Well, I dont know if I will be able to sleep much tonight, but a couple of "Viking Fjord" Martini's and a trip to the hot tub should help. Tomorrow early its off to the airport and then step foot onto WI soil.

I cant wait for the game, and will check here tomorrow if anyone has any more info on where they might be. We will try to track you down. I think we are planning on making a day of it. Driving up from Fredonia, WI on Sunday am and tailgating all day.
