During an interview with WCCO-AM Sunday, Sept. 2, Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress revealed an apparently tense conversation he had with New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, according to the Associated Press. Childress said Belichick called to ask him not to claim Vikings TE Garrett Mills off waivers, offering to avoid picking up a player the Vikings cut as a reward. Childress declined the offer. "He didn't really care for that," Childress said. "He was trying to leverage, but you always find out who is honest and straightforward."
