Vikings | Team allows over 100 yards rushing in Week 7

Judd Zulgad, of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, reports the Minnesota Vikings allowed 128 yards rushing with 4.4 yards per carry to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7, the first time all season the Vikings have allowed over 100 yards rushing. It was also the highest yards per carry average allowed by the Vikings in a game and the first time a rushing touchdown was scored against them in the 2007 season.

Kevin Seifert, of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson (finger) suffered an avulsion fracture in the index finger of his right hand during the team's 24-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7. Team officials will evaluate Jackson during a throwing session Tuesday, Oct. 23, before making any decisions on his status for Week 8.

Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson (finger) hopes to play Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles despite the avulsion fracture in his right index finger. "I don't know exactly how bad it is or if I can play with it," Jackson said. "They say I can play with it so it just depends on how I'm able to grip the football and throw the football."

Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings WR Bobby Wade said he needs to be more aggressive as a punt returner. "I'm going to be more aggressive, but I'm also going to be extremely smart," Wade said.

I am yet to understand any possible reason why he is returning punts.... he's scary back there... not like that Devin Hester type of scary, more like the leaving a set of knives on the floor around toddlers kind of scary.
