Minnesota Vikings TE Jeff Dugan performed well enough at fullback during the Week 11 game that it appears the team will not bring in a veteran fullback to replace FB Tony Richardson (forearm).

Judd Zulgad, of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings CB Antoine Winfield (head) sustained a concussion in Week 11. Head coach Brad Childress said Winfield passed an "impact test" Monday, Nov. 20, but did not specify as to how soon Winfield could return to action.

Vikings | Griffin undergoes MRI on neck

Judd Zulgad, of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings CB Cedric Griffin (neck) underwent an MRI on his neck stinger according to head coach Brad Childress. Results from the test have not come back yet.

Ok, well people have been less than impressed with the right side of the OL - looks like there may be at least one change coming there if not two. Maybe see if we can instantly improve the line play in one go

Sean Jensen, of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress stressed that the club will continue to evaluate all of their options on the roster, but pointed out that he is not prepared to make any changes to the starting lineup heading into Week 12. "I'm not going to cast my gaze to next year, or the future, or any of that kind of stuff," Childress said. "You owe it to this football team to put us in the best position to win, and play the best people that put us in a position to win, and that assessment is ongoing. You have a certain number of chips that you can use, but those are the people I want on the football field." The Vikings are currently on a four-game losing streak.

Judd Zulgad, of the Minnesota Star-Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings DE Kenechi Udeze is not concerned about his failure to register a sack so far this season, a dubious distinction that he shares with Oakland Raiders DE Tyler Brayton as the NFL's only defensive ends with more than three starts without a sack. "I've been pressing since Game 1," Udeze said. "But [the sacks] are coming, and I can't get hooked up on my own statistics. I have to play this game the way it was intended to be played, and that's playing team ball and that's what I'm trying to do now. I don't care if I get a sack as long as we start winning."

Vikings | Obtaining public funds for new stadium might prove difficult

Aron Kahn, of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, reports the Minnesota Vikings are targeting Minneapolis as the location of their new stadium, but obtaining public financial assistance could be elusive in 2007, according to Gov. Tim Pawlenty. The Vikings seek to overcome that hurdle by exciting public officials over a mixed-use urban development that would include a stadium in Downtown East, the area that encircles the Vikings' current home, the Metrodome. "Minneapolis is our sole focus," team vice president Lester Bagley said Tuesday, Nov. 21, following Anoka County's decision Monday to drop out of the stadium sweepstakes.
