Vikings | K. Williams quiet since Week 1

The Associated Press reports Minnesota Vikings DL Kevin Williams has not been very productive on the field since his explosive Week 1 performance. In Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons, Williams notched seven tackles, one for a loss, to go along with a sack, a pass deflection, and an interception return for a touchdown. In four games since his great game to open the season, Williams has eight tackles combined. Opposing teams have been double-teaming Williams on the line and he has struggled to make as big of an impact since then. "I know the double teams are happening, but ... I've got to beat it. There's no way around it," Williams said.

The reports say that Tank will play in Smith's absence.

Considering we are suppose to have a difficult time against the pass, this seems like a set back that could pose more problems for us.

The Vikings defense is better equipped than most to handle the loss of a safety. Darren Sharper is the other starter and they also have veterans Tank Williams and Mike Doss on the roster.

"It definitely helps," cornerback Antoine Winfield said. "It would be a lot different if we had a guy who was coming in that was a rookie. Those guys have played in big games, have a lot of experience and know the defense. So I think they'll be able to go out there and perform well for us."

Childress said Williams and Doss, both of whom are coming back from serious knee injuries last year, will see time at safety against the Cowboys.

true and ever there was a game that we need the DL to get pressure on the QB then this is it. I want to see them in Romo's face all game long.

Hmmm maybe 3 DEs with KWilliams? I like Spencer Johnson though as well. I don't know much about that Fred Evens guy, how is he against the pass? I deffinetly want to see more of Robison though.
