Just listening to them now and there is some cracking stuff from Pat and between him and Chilly - some good interviews there

A couple of interesting things from Childress on the Allen trade. Apart from him saying that there are old and new draft picks sheets available - so that could account for the difference between what fans value trades at compared to the teams.
Also KC had looked for players as part of the trade - would have been interesting to know who they had in mind, either way it sounds like that idea was quickly squashed by the Vikes.

    Nice!
    I totally enjoyed that!
    Thanks!!

On hearing the Radio show's Top Ten Reasons Jared Allen Should be a Viking, and him playing it back to Allen at their meeting..."My job is to shape the environment.
Anything I can do to shape that environment I'll do."

On TJack's leash length..."I am cognizant of the fact that the fans favorite player is always going to be the backup QB...But you have to give him a chance.
Bill Parcels told me that if he'd had to play Tony Romo in his 3rd year it would have been a mess."

On the time that coaches spend working..."There comes a time in the season, where my wife will turn to me and say, I've lost you.
    You're gone."
He also talked about how important it is that the coaches get along, since they end up spending more time with each other than their families.

Wait, I thought that some people here swore that Romo should have been starting his first year... ;D

It’s always fun when players and/or coaches stop by the FAN Midwave Press Box, because the atmosphere is relaxed and the audience in attendance really gets a chance to absorb the personalities of people they would otherwise only see on game day....

Re: Vikings on KFAN - Interviews with Allen, Childress, P. Williams & the front 4

“Pat’s a sport bitcher. If I told Pat ‘get up from that chair and move to that chair’ he’d mumble about it all the way over here. He’d talk about the whole time he was in that chair, and he’d bitch all the way out the door…. But you know what? The guy can’t imagine what else he’d be doing. He’s in the building at 7 o’clock every morning, preparing for the off season. So I can live with that. And he does hold everyone accountable in that locker room.” - Brad Childress on Pat Williams’ personality.

    This was very funny.

I also like that PWill is, "on TJack every single day."
And how their relationship and back and forth banter has grown over the past few years.

    Again.
    good stuff!
    Thanks!

Pat Williams and Brad Childress joined PA & Dubay in the FAN Midwave Press Box on Tuesday morning to talk about pink cars, Jared Allen, Tarvaris Jackson and even a little bit of poetry....

I heard most of that interview yesterday during my lunch.
It actually prompted me to eat lunch in the car so I could keep listening.
The stuff between Childress and Big Pat is priceless.

Childress reciting poetry again. I'll bet he'd be a blast to listen to after a couple of GBP's.
