Vikings' James is confident he'll be healthy and contribute

The former Wisconsin standout defensive end, almost forgotten after the signing of Jared Allen, has been diligently rehabbing his surgically repaired knee.

I'll be honest, I was pretty much ready to give up on James, but since I'm in the same type of situation now myself with rehab and such,
I can understand just a little more about the actual time and effort it will take to see such surgeries and injuries to be delt with in a positive and rewarding effort.

If James does comeback healthy and ready to play ball, I'm all the more for it...He will make our position of DE and it's team roster of players names all that much better.

Could you just imagine us with roster of healthy DE's, with the names we have now?.....Looks rather awesome to me..

Nice to see he is still positive in attitude, and reads like he has a strong desire to still play hard and strong, something I guess he never lost to begine with.

I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.

James, Robison, Mitchell, Grigsby...pretty impressive group of backups.
If we get Udeze back too...Wow!
    What a rotation on DL!
Look out NFL QBs...the VIKINGS ARE COMING!!!
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Dang...then the DL would definitely be the revamped Purple People Eaters if Erasmus can return to his original form at DE.
Then, the Vikes get Udeze back next year as well...can you say "Opposing QBs eat turf every week"?
The Vikes DL could make the Giants DL from last year's Super Bowl look like chopped liver.
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

i hope he does not rush things back, with the aquisition of JA he does not need to rush back. I just hope the surgery went well, and it is healing well, and that he takes his time recovering

I remember his rookie year, and there were times when he looked like he's been in the league for 3 years.
If he can manage to get past all these injuries, he could be very good for us.
Unfortunately, within the next 2 years or so, some of these guys are going to go.

Its nice to see that attitude but only time will tell... In reality how determined he is will not prevent another knee injury

I often wonder how much injured players tell the truth. I played college football and had knee problems every year. Coaches and trainers would always ask about the knee and I would always lie and be like ya its all good havent had any pain or anything...I would lie so I wouldnt have that dark cloud following me around as an injury liability that may decrease my playing time
