Check the stats if people are going to argue that T-joke has potential than how has Cleo Basicaslly outplayed him with less to work with? I am not saying that hwe should get Cleo but wht does it tell you about T-Joke if you have a QB then that plays on a worse team and has equal if not better than what we have. If the argument is basically on potential from what whe have seen then we would have to apply that exact same logic to someone like Cleo Lemon.
Thus Why we do not need to have T-Joke on this team.

Never expected him to be Manning although Eli could put a hole in that theory. But look at teh Qb's tht are doiong well with less. David Garrad has ??? he has had a very solid season, and last I checked they have a 2 headed moster at RB and no Wr's, But somehow he has managed to have what many would argue a pro-bowl season.
Garland, I know you are an anti-supporter of TJ, but come on, Both Lemon and Garrard had time to sit and learn the game and their respective system. TJ was thrust into the starting rloe by default. And he grew more accustomed to the role as the season went on. When we had our stretch, he played consistant and protected the ball. Then National Attention and playoff pressure made him try to force things to happen, plus a few droppd balls along the way hurt us, but not his fault. IF after next year he doesn't improve his stats, then you have an argument. But not this season. It turned out better than expected, so we should at least be grateful for that.

Re: Vikings Insider: Quarterback question has an answer

There is another rather large off sight on that QB list...Bulger signed a big extension before the regular season began.
In fact, I'm not sure about some of those other guys too...the vet FA QBs are looking pretty darn picked over!
With over 50 starting QBs this season, teams are going to be watching their backups closely.
I just hope the NFL doesn't over react and make the roughing the passer type calls even more predominant...we already get flagged for farting in Farve's general direction

As for TJack, he did not handle the playoff/primetime pressure very well to start any of our last three games, but, did manage to come back with some late scores to win one, and at least make the other two close.
    I think that is improvement.
If he settles down those early game jitters and the rest of the offense comes along some in this scheme, it may do wonders for the playcalling, to the point of almost looking like a new offense next season!

But, one way or another, I would still like to see some better depth/competition at that position!
IF we cant' get an upgrade as a vet, we may have to draft one.
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

I'm not so sure there is my friend.
Remember, the state of QB in the NFL is pretty sorry when you get past say (I am being very gracious here) the top 25 or QB's that are starting and quickly goes down hill from there.

QB Kyle Boller UFA Baltimore Ravens

QB Marc Bulger UFA St. Louis Rams

QB Todd Collins UFA Washington Redskins

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick RFA Cincinnati Bengals

QB Rex Grossman UFA Chicago Bears

QB Drew Henson UFA Minnesota Vikings

QB Cleo Lemon UFA Miami Dolphins

QB Jared Lorenzen UFA New York Giants

QB Jamie Martin UFA New Orleans Saints

QB Josh McCown UFA Oakland Raiders

QB Craig Ochs RFA Buffalo Bills

QB Dan Orlovsky RFA Detroit Lions

QB Brian St. Pierre UFA Pittsburgh Steelers

QB Seneca Wallace UFA Seattle Seahawks

This is the link I use for FA research lately.
It has some flaws I.e it still had Romo and Sorgi on it.

    http://www.kffl.com/static/nfl/featu...tion=QB&y=2008
yeah... remember Romo's deal was based off of Bulger's contract...

as for a QB... we should try and perhaps trade for one or draft one... that seems to be the only answer at this point.. with the FA crop so dismal... with that said, if we draft one.. (which i think we'll do regardless, i.e. the Thigpen selection last year), boneheads and TJ haters will want to play him right away, which i think is ridiculous.. we'd just go right back to where we were...

A name, that most aren't talking about is JP Lospan.. he may be a decent pick-up as it seems his days in Buffalo are
    numbered....

Not slamming you my friend but that just amplifies how sad the QB state is in the NFL when someone can say "I would rather have Senaca Wallace".
    ;D

By the way, I would put him on the roster in place of KH but maybe not BB.
I'd rather have Seneca Wallace too... we could put him in at WR also.

Re: Vikings Insider: Quarterback question has an answer

Qb is young, RB is young, WR's are young.....Let them grow together.
Cb's are young, still needs some DE's being that James is a bust and Udeze has not done squat even when lined up against one of the two best DT's in the league.

This win now or forever die at the bottom of the NFL pile is ludacris.
The team is young, and I love the idea to allow these kids and I repeat KIDS play together for a few years.
If you watched the games over the year you might realize that T. Jack (not joke) does have the potential to play well in this league.
It's as if people expect jesus to come in and bring us to the promise land.
What about Rex Grossman and the Bears last year????
Last time I checked Grossman sucked yet they made the super bowl.
Sure they lost but only 2 teams made it that far and if Grossman can do it, I think T Jack has a little more upside then him and also do the same thing.

8-8 is a shit record and it the playoffs where missed in the last two games.....That tells me one HUGE thing, which is the team is YOUNG!
Patience is key, and will we be rewarded in the future because of it??? Who fricken knows, but isn't that half the fun about the NFL???
    It is to me.

Maybe they front office should assign one guy to go to Iowa and go to every supermarket looking for a potential backup among their stockboys.

Jackson, Peterson, Rice and Alison. I'm excited to see these guys mesh into a cohesive unit. I have high hopes... And I'm fairly optimistic that they will be realized.

We'd be in the playoffs right now if our QB wasn t afraid and or given the OK to NOT throw the ball and make sure he runs it himself bout 10-20 times pergame!
