Vikings hoping for many happy returns

West Virginia's No. 1 kick returner in 2006 was a guy named Antonio Lewis. He also played cornerback, which means he was pretty much pooped when it came time to return kicks....

Re: Vikings hoping for many happy returns
LOLOLOL.......The Vikings need depth at receiver, a punt returner and a kickoff returner. Coach Brad Childress indicated the team will keep between four and six receivers. They kept five last season
Has anyone seen/heard that from the Chiller?
I guess the author is using a play on words....
We won't keep only 4 and we have kept 5 over the last 3 years and he is hoping we will keep 6.
Whats between 4 and 6?
Five I guess.
Sports hacks, they crack me up.
;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

That might be the avenue they go, however, my assumption is that they will go out and look for another LB out of the first wave of cuts to fill that role.
Even though Ferg seems to be flourishing on ST's, a LB would fill that bill a bit better.
Rationale is that they have alot more experience in tackling that WR's do.
Still warrants some consideration though. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

If DR keeps playing well on Special Teams we will keep 6 WR's.
I think Fergy is going to make the team as the 5th and then with DR, that would make the 6th.
P.S.
I hope Erin Henderson makes the team also...

Re: Vikings hoping for many happy returns
I really want JJ to make the team but i'm guessing he wont.
He really stood out to me the way he returned that punt and I think he's faster then Reynaud.
I'm really hoping that he wins the uphill battle, maybe Reynaud and JJ and forget ferguson, he's a good blocker but he wont see much time as a fifth receiver anyways!

DR's play will determine if he is one of the 5 kept.
Nothing more, nothing less. If he continues to demonstrate that he adds versatility by doing well on ST's and catching balls as a WR then he will probably beat out Ferg for the 5th WR spot.
Again, my assumption is that our problem areas are gonna be in the DL and OL areas because of injuries (suspension) to our starters and anticipated backups.
If the staff deviates and keeps an extra player at any position it will be one of them and not in a position that we seem to be set in.Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
