Real tough losses.
Real. Tough. Losses.
(apologies to Wrangler jeans)
Ask a casual Viking fan what losses were toughest to take and you might hear about the four Super Bowl losses.
Ask a real Vikings fan about real, tough losses and there will be no debate.....

Great way to start the day.
Awesome.
Re: Vikings History: The Five Hardest Games to Swallow
My only saving grace is I'm too young to remember 2 of those games... the Falcons one still brings a tear to my eyes... writers tend to forget to mention the SB was being played in MN that year... 15-1... SB in Minny... it was destiny... and then the miss... the Cardinals game in 2003 I was actually at in AZ... how painful...
I now live in NJ... lets not talk about that Giants game, thank God I was still in MI when it was played.
Well this was a great way to start a Monday.

Writers tend to leave that out, because it wouldn't sound very credible.
The Super Bowl was played in Minneapolis in 1992.
Not 1999.
The Broncos vs Falcons SB was played in Miami.

Whoops.
That's... interesting...

Lol
... JFK Stadium? Does not exist. This guy clearly has not lived through the old Vikings days (which I have not either) but there is no doubt that Super Bowl IV belongs on this list as it is the only Super Bowl the Vikes were HEAVY favorites in.
The Cardinals game and Falcons game are pretty legit ... and maybe the Giants NFC Championship loss. But I think the Redskins loss probably should not be on there (we were not favored and had already played two road games that playoffs.)

1.

A dropped interception by Robert Griffin foreshadowed the inevitable.
Robert Griffin?
haha pretty sure it is Robert Griffith
4.
Quote:
He was out of bounds.
The refs know it.
The Cardinals know it.
We know it, but we were home for the holidays.
I hate to talk about this game too, but you can't say that he was out of bounds.
He was definitely forced out and the rule at the time was a "force out" rule.
Unfortunately, it didn't go our way.
I wish we could go back, have no contact made, and just see if he would have came down and got both feet in.
Re: Vikings History: The Five Hardest Games to Swallow
without evebn reading it the 1998 championship game has to be teh clear cut #1
