vikings history??
i know this is kind of true that the vikings invented the west coast offense in the 70's but it wasnt known as that.
Both of the new coaches will need to have all their strength as the Vikings turn to a West Coast Offense created by the Vikings in the mid-70s, popularized by the 49ers of the 1980s and spread throughout the NFL thanks to a Bill Walsh coaching tree that stretches throughout the NFL. Not to be outdone, the Vikings will switch defenses to a Cover 2 system developed and spread by Tony Dungy. With the talent the Vikings on defense, the primary changes will be to blitz only selectively and use speed and finesse to break down drives.

This sounds like the defense of the "Purple People Eaters," and it's about time they get back to what worked!

is that what they called that back in the days?? I think they labeled it that only because of frans inability to throw the long ball..frans scrambling, with dump offs to chuck foreman, stu voight, and some other routes( nothing deep)to ahmad rashad( bobby moore to others lol) and sammy white. he definitely spread the ball around !i know this is kind of true that the vikings invented the west coast offense in the 70's but it wasnt known as that.

The 'west coast' offense should have been called the Minnesota dink and dunk. lol
Personally, I don't think there is intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?
