Vikings have talent to live up to hype - Destined to Succeed in 2009?

Souhan: Vikings have talent to live up to hype

The Vikings are the focus of the NFL, not just because of their quarterback but because of the players they have surrounded around him.

Looking back to the end of last season all the way up until today, I've noticed an absolutely perfect string of events that show the Vikings could have destiny on their side in 2009....

Good article. We do have an amount of talent on both sides of the ball that this team hasn't seen in at least 3 decades. I just hope the coaching doesn't become this ships iceberg.

that is the probably the biggest unknown at the moment, even Favre has given a few ideas of what he might provide this year. Everything looks to have been upgraded but has the play calling?
We shall see and today is the first pointer to that.

Well we did start the game with a fake onside kick.

I try not to ever get too excited about pre-season predictions, They always are the main ingredient for disappointment, With this years bunch it's hard not too, Although I know we'll miss Burk, One game at a time for me, My heart can't take much more-lol
Even if the Vikings lose, I can still find happiness in Bears, and Packer losses.

The article is giving a little bit too much credit to our pass defense IMO but other than that it is pretty bang on. The team has very few weaknesses. It's up to Childress to show that he's not as much of a bonehead as some think he is. If only we can avoid those special teams TDs...
