I can think of a few QBs that would be perfect project players for us; I personally like Tom Savage because he won't cost us as much and if he busts, who cares? That being said, we will be taking one of them UNLESS our coaches are sold on one of the top 4 QBs.

Either way, we now have the best overall coaching staff in the game, I trust their judgement.

Wow ... best overall in the game?

That is pretty bold ... and I am sure you knew it would get responses.

I think it is possible that we could have a GREAT coaching staff. I really like Norv in his spot and like Edwards in his spot. I think Zimmer will be great ... but he is nothing as of yet. I think we have the potential to be very happy with this group of guys though.

I did expect responses, and challenges to boot!

I stand by my optimism (you are right, I have no proof of my assertions), and fully expect people to try to prove or disprove the point. The fact that no one out and out laughed at me says a lot though... I think we have FINALLY gotten to the tipping point.

But before you think me a complete dufuss, after the first game of last season, I said to my brother we would be lucky to win 5 games in 2013. Ponder was obviously going backwards, and Frazier was too timid to make the bold moves required to push us forward.

I tend to pour on optimism when there is good reason, but I try to avoid wearing rose-colored glasses ALL the time.
