All we need is to play just a little bit better than all 16 teams on next year's schedule...and we can go 16-0!!! Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!!! LOL!

Well im banking on 6 wins in our division (thats right, a sweep) so thats half our wins next year right there!!!!!
I wouldn't get carried away that idea. The bears have a great coach and a great defense and I doubt we will be able to beat them at solider field.

Did you mean "how," I can agree with that.

On a side note, people wonder why the Hawks aren't getting respect. It is because of the week NFC, the analysts are looking at the strength of their schedule to judge how they will play. But like stated, it is how you play the Steelers that will count. Do all the predicting you want.

They had 6 games against the Rams, Niners, and the Cards.

    Sep 11 @Jacksonville Lost 14-26
    Sep 18 Atlanta Won 21-18
    Sep 25 Arizona Won 37-12
    Oct 2 @Washington Lost 17-20
    Oct 9 @St. Louis Won 37-31
    Oct 16 Houston Won 42-10
    Oct 23 Dallas Won 13-10
    Week 8 BYE
    Nov 6 @Arizona Won 33-19
Nov 13 St. Louis Won 31-16
    Nov 20 @San Francisco Won 27-25
    Nov 27 N.Y. Giants Won 24-21
    Dec 5 @Philadelphia Won 42-0
Dec 11 San Francisco Won 41-3
    Dec 18 @Tennessee Won 28-24
    Dec 24 Indianapolis Won 28-13
    Jan 1 @Green Bay Lost 17-23

Except for the Indy game which that was a rest game for the Indy starters for the most part. That schedule looks soft. I know it was a meaningless game, but they lost to GB. Atleast they ROLLED San Fran and Philly.

    Steelers schedule:

    Sep 11 Tennessee Won 34-7
    Sep 18 @Houston Won 27-7
Sep 25 New England Lost 20-23
    Week 4 BYE
    Oct 10 @San Diego Won 24-22
    Oct 16 Jacksonville Lost 17-23
    Oct 23 @Cincinnati Won 27-13
    Oct 31 Baltimore Won 20-19
    Nov 6 @Green Bay Won 20-10
    Nov 13 Cleveland Won 34-21
    Nov 20 @Baltimore Lost 13-16
    Nov 28 @Indianapolis Lost 7-26
    Dec 4 Cincinnati Lost 31-38
    Dec 11 Chicago Won 21-9
    Dec 18 @Minnesota Won 18-3
    Dec 24 @Cleveland Won 41-0
    Jan 1 Detroit Won 35-21

Since Dec 11th, the Steelers have looked very impressive.

Jacksonville will be able to say we beat the SB champs this year.
How and when both matters. Every year when I share our schedule with my Grandpa (one of the coolest Vike fans ever), the first thing he wants to know is in what month our away Packer game is to see how deep into the cold and year it will be.
And as far as teams that are suppose to be this and that, I don't buy either.
Who thought the Seahawks were gonna blow up like they did?
Why do you think I choose to go to the Bengals out of my 3 choices? Becuase I thought that would be an easy win. It blow up in my face..
(My choices were to go to Cinnci, Atlanta, or Carolina. I chose Tha Bengals cause of how they did last year. Either way I went, it didn't equal a fun 'W')
[By the way. How good have the Steelers looked these past few Playoff weeks? #6 eed beating the top 3 seeds. Very impressive.]

Re: Vikings have fourth easiest 2006 schedule

alot of stuff can happen in the off season to chance teams around. most people would have seen miami being a good team before ricky went and smoked it up. when mike vick got hurt in the preseason, that changed alot.

also we get the patriots division along with the seahawks division. so thats like 8 automatic wins along with two over the packers and at least one over the lions and thats 11 wins which will win the division. yeehaaa!!!

I wouldn't exactly say games against the Patriots, Seahawks, Redskins & Panthers are automatic wins.

    From KFFL;

Vikings | Have fourth easiest 2006 schedule
    Sat, 28 Jan 2006 21:12:52 -0800

The Associated Press reports the Minnesota Vikings have the fourth easiest 2006 schedule based on their opponent's winning percentage of .457. Part of the reason for the low percentage is the Vikings play in the NFC North. Another reason is the NFC division they're matched up with next year is the NFC West.
Nice quote from the press, but the previous season's winning percentage means nothing. At least the press already has ammunition for explaining the Vikings season when they come out strong.

Re: Vikings have fourth easiest 2006 schedule

Yeah ... strength of schedule is varied year to year ... but it is still nice to know that we have some weaker opponents next season.
If you really don't think it matters ... take a look at the weak schedules that led to Bears Division titles in 2001 and 2005 and then look at the next seasons when they had tougher schedules (yes that means include next year's 6-10 Bears team).
I honestly think we go 5-1 in the division next year (we always lose in Chicago) and I think we go 3-1 against the NFC West and split against the Skins and Pantthers making us 9-3 against the NFC ... I like a split agaist the AFC East too ... 11-5 is quite possible boys and girls ... lets enjoy the ride!!!

Re: Vikings have fourth easiest 2006 schedule

too bad we don't play too well against the easy teams. look at the colts schedule last year they had it real easy and when they played the good teams those teams wern't playing well. i guess it showed in the playoffs how good the colts really are ha ha.
