Any team can add depth at CB. What concerns me more is do we have talent at both starting positions as well as the back up positions.

You could say there are 3 or 4 starting positions at corner in the NFC North.
I don't think Brinkley can cover the pass on third down, so I think the nickel better also be good, and the dime will get a lot of playing time as well.

Allen,Sherrels, and Burton are scrappers but I'm hoping for better.

There's a difference between depth and talent.

If our corners are healthy I think we're solid at the position. I'm more concerned with the safeties and linebackers.

It doesn't surprise me. It's the Spielman/Frazier mentality of taking a mediocre player, move him to a position he hasn't played before & hope like hell he turns into a superstar.

    He’s the DB/WR
You might be wondering how Gatewood came to acquire the slash. Well he started out at Stanford as a cornerback but switched to receiver at the beginning of the 2011 season. Then near the end of the season coaches had him switch back.
Looks like this guy has played the position before, a bit surprised the ole newhound did find this
