Vikings greats little sympathy for current players

Former Vikings greats have little sympathy for current players' cold-weather concerns

I can't believe Kluwe, of all people, is being a sissy girl over this.

Yet another player signing songs that the HC isn't singing along with.

Yeah.....old Chuck Foreman had to walk nine miles to school.

    In the winter.

    Uphill.

    One way.

    Barefoot.

What do you mean you can't believe it. He's a punter. It's not like he's a football player or anything.

When Bud was coach the players had to practice outdoors if Sundays game was going to be outdoors.
I had the good fortune of attending one of those outdoor practices when Chuck Foreman was a player.
It was all business and no talk about the cold.

They were some tough old players.
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

Hey guys......kicking that frozen football on a slippery concrete surface is a real pain.

I can see why a punter would hate it.

And quotes from the old Vikings???

Those old Vikings took so many hard hits on the frozen dirt that they can't remember what they had for breakfast, much less playing in the cold.

I remember how they used to whine because Bud Grant wouldn't let them have heaters.

Good God, you are a bigger pussy than I originally thought. That's too bad, I almost kinda liked you.

But then again, I DO like some pussy... Hmmm...

Obviously you missed all the quotes out there from the older players who said that the frozen turf made it almost impossible to put a hard hit on anyone and because everyone now has perfect grass both indoors and out, the injuries continue to mount.

No, I give them all the credibility I always give to punch-drunk early stage dementia victims.
