Re: Vikings go through drills -- and plenty of ice

This makes me nervous in the sense that I would hate to see the injuries start adding up and come week 10 our guys are slowing down. I'm trying to stay optimistic. I guess the Vikings haven't won a super bowl with other coaches and their training camps so maybe just maybe this is what they need.

Can anyone say Les Steckel. Remember that stuff. I dont think I am ready to classify this camp the same way because I think Childress is smarter than that. I figure they will back off a little this week and focus on the playbook and the brains of the game. But, we have to remember that these are football players and they need to beat the %#$@ out of somebody to stay focused. To sum it: Let's trust our coach.

No one will last the whole season at this pace. I think he needs to back off, give them a day or two without live tackling then get back to it. I don't want us to be sissies (spelling?) but i want to have our starters in good, rested, un-hurt condition.

Stamina. Build it. The games are 60 minutes of intense brutality.

    I'd call this plan excellent.

Personally, I don't think there is intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?

After being coached for years under Mike Tice I imagine it's going to take some sweat and blood to squeeze the last ouce of his disease from our work ettiquette. So run em hard make em hit each other. Make them tough.

The ones that survive will be way ahead of our opponents. While they are playing patty cake we will be playing football.
