For millions of Minnesotans, fishing is a lifetime pursuit and one of the best parts of living in a state rich with natural resources. The official kickoff to the fishing season is the annual Governor’s Fishing Opener, an event the Vikings took part in again in 2009....
Glad to see them doing stuff like this.
Good PR of any kind has to help at somepoint......
On a side note, One of the few things I miss about MN......Hunting Walley, Crappie and Big Northern/Muskies........ ;D

And to think, some people get upset with me when I get on my "Screw the local papers" soapbox..... ;D
Hopefully, Heath Farwell dangled his worm in front of First Lady Mary Pawlenty's face, then struck up an inside deal to get us our new stadium.

But on a serious note, it's always great to read about kids who don't get the chance often to get out, do so, and get to enjoy the outdoors and espeicaly fishing, with some great mentors like Farwell, Guion and Frampton.
