MILWAUKEE -- After the 1989 season, a poll was taken, asking Packers fans who the greatest coach in franchise history was. The winner was Lindy Infante, who had just led the Packers to a 10-6 record but missed out on the playoffs. Infante defeated Hall of Famers Vince Lombardi and Curly Lambeau in the voting.

3 games & 11% have him above Cunningham, Kapp & Kramer? WTF?

Eh ... fans are fickle, but I don't think it is that big of a deal. I think it is more surprising that Daunte Culpepper (second to Fran in almost every major category) is not even on the list.3 games & 11% have him above Cunningham, Kapp & Kramer? WTF?
To put Cunningham on the list based solely on 1998 and not put Culpepper on the list based on three Pro Bowls and the actual best statistical season in Vikes history in 2004 seems ridiculous to me.
I would have to rank the Vikes QBs as such:
1. Frank Tarkenton
2. Daunte Culpepper
3. Tommy Kramer
4. Warren Moon
5. Joe Kapp
Honorable mention: Randall Cunningham, Wade Wilson, Brad Johnson

I was a state representative for my political party many years ago. I studied the issues and cast my vote accordingly.
It was disheartening to hear two women in front of me say they were going to vote for a candidate because he was so good looking.
Much like fan polls, they based their decision on personal agendas.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

I would guess that a lot of that 11% is because he is the current QB who happened to leave a good impression in his last game.
Joe Kapp is beyond most fans era and Daunte last impression makes it hard for people to remember the good times.

I need to revisit this later this season.. it will be interesting to see how this develops as you folks are taking on a Favre roller coaster ride that has yet to come.. your still sitting on the that first giant incline.. right at the top most likely. It will change. History has shown it.

He is who he is, and old guy trying to manage a game.
If F'ing McKinnie keeps playing like he has it's going to be an even shorter season for Favre.

Nah.. it really doesn't damper it at all.. honestly, I hope he plays at a high level through at least Nov 1.. then there will no excuses, no more of this ridiculous hype. Favre and the Packers will have played twice, and the results should end a ton of that type of discussion."pack93z" wrote:

Honestly, I hope for two well played, hard fought games with the Vikings this season... regardless of whom wins (albeit I have a certain bias of hope). These could be two very entertaining games.. could be, but I am sure they probably won't live up to the hype.
I do have a honest question in this regards, if Favre leads this team to the Superbowl and the miraculous happens and they win it.. does Brett then bypass Fran on such a list?
One special season verses many quality seasons.. I know where I would place my vote. # 10.
Ring or not.
BTW.. we have a Mckinney type on the line.. opposite end, but I swear he is trying to kill Rodgers on his own.. lol.
