Vikings - Eyes on the END ZONE
Eyes on the END ZONE
The Vikings defense -- through preparation, attitude or sometimes just luck -- is making a habit of putting points on the board. That trend continued Sunday in a big way with two touchdowns.

The more defensive scores the better, lets set a single season scoring record for a defense. The offense will catch on soon, so let the defense carry us for now. Pride will drive the offense to scoring.

How critical have defensive scores been for Childress' teams? Since the start of the 2006 season, the Vikings are 5-0 in the games in which their defense scored. (Two of the games featured multiple returns.) Overall, the defense has scored 20 percent of the Vikings' total touchdowns (seven of 35) in the 17-game span.
I guess he missed the packer game last year....
Re: Vikings - Eyes on the END ZONE
Nice little article.
I don't expect a defensive touchdown every game but I don't think it is unlikely for it to be a consistent stat for them.
Sure this defense is gonna give up yards against the pass as theres no real "shutdown" corner on the team, but they are doing very well what this defense expects them to do.
As long as these guys continue to trust each other and play their role in Frazier's bend-dont-break defense, this team will continue to cause turnovers and frustration for QBs and WRs keeping the bad guys out of the end zone and giving the young offense an easier task.
I expect a similar caliber of play year round and am kinda jealous they aren't on my FF rosters.

I guess he also missed the Bears game in the Dome last year when Rexy had a int returned on him...
