With Cedric Griffin out for the year and Chris Cook out this week, the Vikings are in dire straits at the cornerback position.
Time to call Frank Walker.
Adam Caplan of FoxSports.com reports that Minnesota is expected to sign the eight-year veteran. Walker has worked out for a few teams this year after finishing last season with Baltimore. He's played for the Giants, Packers, and Ravens during his career.

Walker is about as good a veteran cornerback as a team could sign at this point in the season, but he's a significant step down from Griffin, and Griffin's knee injury represents a major loss for the Vikings, a team that can't afford many more major losses.
Vikings Turn to CB Frank Walker to Take Injured Cedric Griffin's Place
I haven't looked at whats out there, but my guess is he is probably right.

Walker has 117 tackles and seven interceptions after four years with the Giants, one with the Packers and two with the Ravens.
Report: Minnesota Vikings expected to sign veteran CB Frank Walker
Re: Vikings expected to sign Frank Walker
I say don't pick up this Walker player. He is going to make things worse. Why not sign back Marcus Sherels whom you cut before. He would be a better option than Walker. We brang in Sherels and we must of had an interest.

Make things worse? What ... is he going to take out the three healthy CBs?
The reason they don't bring Sherels back in is because he does not have the chops to play at this level.
Walker is just a No. 4 corner gap filler until Cook is healthy next week or the week after. Nothing wrong with this pickup.
Somehow you knew our overload at CB and trading Sapp would screw us ... lol ... but we will be all right.
We had these same three guys in game 1 and 2 and did fine.

I must have a bit more barley pop than I thought Mon night, but I could have swore I saw Sherels on the field, in on a ST teams tackle.
