Vikings expect Shiancoe to leaving the past far behind
Vikings: Leaving the past far behind

Visanthe Shiancoe knows there are names easier to pronounce than "vi-sahn-tee SHANK-oh." So upon introduction the other day, Shiancoe simplified things a bit.
"Just call me Shank-dog," he said with a smile.
If only everything else about Shiancoe's arrival in Minnesota were so straightforward...Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.

I'll continue to call him "Question Mark", or "Unproven".
That being said, I think he'll turn out to be a nice addition though.Proud member of PP.O since April 5th, 2003!

Re: Vikings expect Shiancoe to leaving the past far behind
Let's just hope that the "Shank-Dog" can fill that proverbial jersey (#81) !!!!!!
There have been a couple of great Vikes that wore that same #.
1. Carl Eller
2. Joe Senser
3. Anthony Carter

When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Re: Vikings expect Shiancoe to leaving the past far behind
As much as I liked Wiggins, he was a lumbering freelance route runner. Shiancoe is a more disaplined route runner, and will be much harder to cover. This will enable our recievers to get some one on one coverage. This is going to be a much improved version of Chilli's KAO. I'm ready for it too. Last year was aggrevating.

As much as I want to believe that, so far there has been little evidence produced to support it aside from the speculation of hopeful fans.I sure hope everything magically comes together this year and leads to a great season but so far it looks like we are going to have a long hard road.
