I would be more excited if they were excited about the offense.
aint that the truth... we already know the defense is gonna be good... i don't want to be the NFC version of the ravens...

We deserve an offense that is gonna score points... atleast resemble the Eagles in how they score points... damn!!!

I'm going to have to echo the title as well, I'm VERY excited for the D this year.
When EJ went down last year a little piece of my insides died.
He has progressed into a midfield monster, and I don't mind that he's underrated because it makes it all the more fun to shout EJ when casual fan-friends ask "Who WAS that guy that just blew up their runner?!?
The EJ highlight reel is filled with crazy, chase-you-across-the-field and lay-you-out ferocity.

EJ is a beast, we know this.
What really killed me last year was seeing Madieu come back and play well, watching Greenway come into his own (I love re-watching plays and keeping an eye on him, he is all over the field and never stops until the whistle.
My kind of football player, reminds me of EJ in this regard), watching the D-line gel and improve, seeing Griff get more comfortable and Johnson shake off the noobishness...
I kept thinking "what if EJ were still back there decapitating people...".
Hopefully this year we get to find out.

Mix in the potential return of Kenichi "Cancer?
What Cancer?" Udeze, and the confirmed return of Heath "making ST scary" Farwell, and Charles "OMG MY ANKLE!" Gordon, plus the hopefully improved Griff (hey we know he can HIT) and Johnson, and we should be all set to reward the Bears fans with some Cutler-paste.
Hey Jay... the mullet is coming for you!!!
My only concern is the nickel CB and covering TEs. We seem to always get killed in these two areas.
