I love playing the 'take things out of context game':
Childress, though, says he hasn’t lost confidence in his West Coast system. “You know, I know it’s a kick ass offense...Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain

I am pretty sure that Wilf will be kicking some butts if things don't get better next season!

Re: Vikings - Everything Gets Offseason Evaluation
Phat Pat was right on when he said that nobody beats us, we beat ourselves with the stupid mistakes.. Childress's playcalling didn't exactly get everyone excited to the point that everyone was wetting themselves, but in every game that we lost with the exception of the New England game, we had a chance to win..

Re: Vikings - Everything Gets Offseason Evaluation
Yes, but WHO does the evaluating? Childress has been evaluating all season long, ongoing. The results of which are thus far invisible. What they need is perspective.

Personally, I don't think there is intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?

Re: Vikings - Everything Gets Offseason Evaluation
I dont have faith in Childress' offense, Why cant he be like every other head coach and sit back and watch. He doesnt need to be calling plays also. That is what an OC is. I am very disappointed with this season but, lets get working on next year and get everything in order to get a Superbowl win!!!

Thanks PPE for the Sig

Childress is not the only one.

Re: Vikings - Everything Gets Offseason Evaluation
I'll be interested to see just how far the evaluation goes and if Childress is willing to look at ALL aspects of the team. Only thing I wonder though is how you can evaluate your own play-calling and how you adjust to games. You know in your own mind how you are doing at a job and if he felt that he was doing badly then I'd expect some changes to be made by now. So I'd like to see someone independent do that part of the assessment - maybe a case for a consultantant to be brought in for a true independent evaluation?

Re: Vikings - Everything Gets Offseason Evaluation
Can somebody please explain how Childress ever got labled as a "offensive genius" in the first place.
I never understood that even before i ever watched a game that he coached.
When you have never called a play in the NFL before how do you become and "offensive genius" overnight?

There are other coaches who call their own plays & are successful at it.
Childress is not the only one.

Well Obviously Childress is not one of them. And yeah I know there are others that do it. Some coaches have given up the playcalling and seen there offenses thrive also.
