The draft went even LONGER before THAT!
(Johnny Unitas was a 17th rounder or something like that)

Three 1st rounders in 1967 (Clint Jones, Gene Washington, and Alan Page)

This list gives me some good ideas for future jerseys.

Dick Schmatz
Steve Stonebreaker
Ed Sharockman
Rip Hawkins
Milt Sunde...haven't heard that name in a while

He sure was. And when you look at OL-men in the league, especially at the inside of the line, they are often drafted in later rounds.

LTs however are often drafted relatively high.

Studwell a ninth rounder
Steve Jordan an seventh
Terry Allen a ninth rounder.
Bobby Bryant in the seventh.

My favorite pick....Winfield in the 17th

When you look at it, if you get three players that contribute you are doing really well. Alot of the drafts in the 80's produced noone or one player. No wonder those were lean years.
