You couldn’t get more schizophrenic than the Minnesota Vikings defense was last season...

Re: Vikings’ defensive goal: Balance its strengths

It's a new season and everybody is expecting big things from our defense. The addition of Marcus McCauley, and Fred Evans, will secure a pass defense that will be vastly improved. Our rotation at defensive end with a healthy return of Erasmus James, the emergence of Ray Edwards, and the addition of Brian Robison, will bring much pressure from the edges. Now for a push up the middle we've added Fred Evans. While teams double Kevin Williams, Fred will split blockers and collapse pockets forcing QB's into the arms of our DE's. Look for Udeze to end his drought early against Atlanta.

Our run defense was the best in the league last year.
I like to believe that we will be able to put some heat on the QB this year.
Which, will make our defense great.

“The speed rush doesn’t mean anything if the quarterback can always step up, so those inside guys have got to be able to collapse and push the pocket back into the quarterback’s lap.”
I sure hope they can collapse the middle this year. Seemed to be an issue last year.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg
