Re: Vikings' defense isn't sweating yards
That is the bottom-line.
How many pts did they score?
Kitna tossed for a bunch of yds, but the scoring wasn't there.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone recall a more poorly played game in the nfl than that game?
Holy shit that game was sloppy by both teams.

Games like that should have Goodell walk onto the field with the red card and tell them they have to redo the game sometime when their heads aren't up their asses.
Back to the title of the thread, the defense is doing fine so far...even with the exorbitant # of yds given up in passing.
If they keep the pt total down I'm happy.

#2 Our D is great. We are leading in sacks, we are putting in lots of TD on many turnovers created. This will still keep us in many games.

Re: Vikings' defense isn't sweating yards
If we can generate that pass rush every week, teams will pay for passing the ball. I'm hoping for another 5-6 sacks this week. Our defense steps up when they get pushed and we are going to need them to set us up with a score or some short field oppotunities. A road game on grass hasn't been our forte', and we need to dominate defensively. Bend, but don't break....

Re: Vikings' defense isn't sweating yards
Exactly, that's how I've been describing our D for the last two years...bend but don't break. I don't care how many yards we give up, cos it's the points that count.

It's called bend, but don't break.
