Thread: Vikings Cut QB, 7 Others

The Vikings just announced the release of eight players, including quarterback Drew Henson and wide receiver Todd Lowber.

Also released were defensive tackle Joe Bradley, guard Josh Day, defensive tackle Alex Guerrero, linebacker John Kerr, punter Alex Reyes and cornerback Jerron Wishom.

I'm glad Henson got cut. Lowber was an interesting prospect but not very practical. Now to cut bollinger...

i saw the henson thing on nfl network.

I was really hoping Lowber would work out.
Didn't get to see him play much.
I believe that was move to keep R Ferguson.
He is going to be picked up by someone.
He has too much talent and speed.

Just goes to prove you can't believe everything you read (unless I write it of course).

My Scout mag has an article on Lowber.
One of the reasons he signed with the Vikes, according to the article, was the fact that they gave him a 3 year contract/commitment.

Guess that was worth the paper it was written on, much like the contract.

Teams aren't going to make room on there rosters right now for a project like Lowber. He will clear waivers and be put on our practise squad.

And that's why it's easy money.
