    Vikings to concentrate on draft

"The Vikings are now turning their attention to the draft after a rare spending spree in week one of free agency."

I've heard this from a couple different sources. What do you think the chances of us moving up are? So far this offseason has been uncharacteristically us, maybe it'd be the same in the draft. I'd really like to work out a deal and get into the top-10 where Udeze should be available. But who knows, how many people expected the Saints to take Sulivan over Kennedy? I wouldn't give up hope on Smith yet...

It's is always a possibility that we will move up, if we wanted Udeze we would have to select before the Texans I believe. We will wait an see how thing play out in FA before we go and do something like that though.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

You mean we might pick earlier than we're supposed to as opposed to picking after our pick passes us by?

I do not see the Vikings being able to trade up but the good news is this is a talent rich draft and the first three rounds should be solid players. The first round will all be cream of the crop players then the next two will see solid guys all with a chance to make it.
    can we clone Bud Grant?

Actually, i don't think the Vikings have to worry about the Texans taking Udeze anymore. They signed Robaire Smith from Tennessee and are planning on using him as an end in their 3-4 alignment. I think they are going to look at a nose tackle in the draft, as Udeze will not be able to make the transition to linebacker.

Hey if we can save a million dollars and still get the best defensive lineman in the draft... I say let time expire...
